Statement from the SAFRA President regarding future direction with Football South Australia (FSA)13/10/2021 As the President of South Australian Football Referees Association (SAFRA) previously SAASRA, we are excited to announce that we have signed an agreement for direct affiliation with FSA, we have come together to create a pathway that will provide a recognised structure for the retention, development and recruitment of Match Officials for FSA, SAFRA and SAASL. This agreement will give SAFRA direct accreditation with Football Australia and Australian Sports Commission.
We thank FSA Chief Executive Officer, Michael Carter, General Manager Football Operations, George Georganas, and State Manager of Referees Development, Andrew Murray, for their support and the opportunity to create an environment where all SAFRA Match Officials can gain further accreditation, have access to ongoing training, coaching, Referee Development Programs and the State Development Pathway. The opportunities through the recognised structures from FA/FSA will be a great advantage moving forward for our association. FSA and SAFRA will share unfilled fixtures with each other to optimise coverage of both FSA and SAASL fixtures from 2022 season onwards. South Australia Football Referees Association Incorporation, remains an autonomous body that is affiliated to FSA. Yours in Football Derek Chapman SAFRA President
