Become a referee

Refereeing our great game can be a rewarding experience. Whether you are a current or former player or a fan, starting a referee career allows you to stay actively connected to the game we all love so much. Our referees enjoy the challenge and responsibility of overseeing a match. They especially value the strong and healthy relationships they develop with players, club officials and supporters they get know in the football community.

With our affiliation with Football SA, all SAFRA members are on a national fully accredited referee pathway from grassroots to the elite level.
